BUMP Outdoor is operated by BANGPU TECHNOLOGY (HANGZHOU) Ltd., registered in China, with a business address at Room 604, Building A, Shuzhi Engine Innovation Park, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China ("BUMP Outdoor", "we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy contact: bumpoutdoor@gmail.com
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit bump-outdoor.com, place an order, contact us or use the related features described below. It also explains your choices and how to make a privacy request.
1 Information we collect
Information you provide. We collect contact details such as your name, email address, telephone number and shipping and billing addresses when needed for an order or enquiry. We also receive order details, return requests, communications and any information you choose to include in a product review. If account registration is available, we process your account details and credentials. Please do not send full payment card details or sensitive identity documents by email.
Payment information. Payment details are handled through the payment services available at checkout. We receive the transaction status and the payment information needed to reconcile payments, prevent fraud and process refunds. The exact information handled by us and the payment provider depends on the payment method.
Information collected through the website. Our website and its service providers may record IP addresses, browser and device information, access times, pages requested, referring pages and security logs. An approximate location may be inferred from an IP address. The tracking technologies actually used are described in Section 4. This policy does not authorize the collection of precise GPS location or unrelated contacts from your device.
Information from others. We receive payment confirmations from payment providers and shipping or delivery updates from fulfilment providers. If you contact us on a social platform, we receive the information you make available in that interaction. Additional data sources, such as social sign-in or advertising audiences, must be specifically disclosed before they are used.
2 Why we use information
We use the information necessary to take and fulfil orders, process payments and refunds, deliver products, handle returns and provide customer support. We also use information to operate accounts where available, maintain website security, investigate fraud, keep business records and comply with legal obligations.
Where permitted by applicable law and your choices, we use information to understand website performance, improve products and services, and send marketing communications. Optional advertising and analytics are subject to the disclosures and controls in Section 4. We do not treat acceptance of our Terms as consent to every use of personal information.
Where consent is required, we obtain it before the relevant activity and allow you to withdraw it. A purchase is not conditional on agreeing to optional marketing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out or records we must retain. We will give additional notice and obtain further consent where required before using information for a materially different purpose.
3 Who receives information
We disclose the information needed to service providers that support hosting and the storefront, payments, order fulfilment, delivery, customer service, security and business administration. Their access should be limited to the services they perform and governed by appropriate contractual restrictions. Some providers also act independently for their own legal, security or payment obligations; their notices explain those activities.
We use Shopify to provide our online storefront, hosting, checkout, order management, security, store analytics, customer accounts and related commerce services. Payments are processed by LianLian Pay. Orders may be fulfilled through Amazon fulfilment services, and shipment tracking may be provided through 17TRACK. We use Loox to collect and display product reviews; CWILL (SendWILL) Popup Email and our messaging tools to collect email subscriptions and send communications; Gmail to receive and respond to customer enquiries; Google & YouTube and Google Ads for advertising, campaign measurement and related analytics; and Instafeed to display Instagram content. We also use Shopify apps that support product variants, translation and other storefront functionality. These providers receive personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform their services and may process it under their own privacy notices and contractual obligations.
We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers, where required by law or valid legal process, to investigate unlawful activity or protect legal rights, or as part of a business transaction subject to applicable confidentiality and privacy requirements. A transfer of the business does not remove the protections applicable to your information.
Reviews you choose to publish may be visible to other visitors together with the display name and information you include. Do not publish private information about yourself or others. Advertising-related disclosures, if any, are addressed separately below. We do not obtain a general right under this policy to disclose customer information for unrelated third-party marketing.
4 Cookies analytics and advertising
Essential technologies support functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, security and the privacy choices you make. Optional analytics technologies measure use of the website. Advertising technologies, if enabled, may associate browsing activity or identifiers with activity on other services to measure campaigns or show relevant advertisements.
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate our storefront, shopping cart, checkout, customer account, security and privacy features. Where permitted by applicable law and subject to your choices, Shopify, Google and our other service providers may use cookies, pixels and similar identifiers to measure website activity, understand product and checkout interactions, evaluate advertising campaigns and deliver or measure relevant advertising. These technologies may collect IP address, browser and device information, cookie or device identifiers, pages and products viewed, searches, referral information, cart and checkout activity, and purchase information. Some storefront applications, including Loox and CWILL (SendWILL), may also use similar technologies to provide reviews, pop-ups and messaging features. Cookie and identifier durations vary according to the provider and purpose.
You can manage non-essential cookies through the "Cookie Preferences" link on our website. Where available, you can also opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising through our "Your Privacy Choices" page.
Where prior consent is required, optional tracking will be activated only after that consent. Where an opt-out right applies, you can exercise it through the applicable privacy controls. You can also contact bumpoutdoor@gmail.com for assistance. We honor legally required opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control where applicable. Browser controls can restrict cookies, but deleting cookies alone may not stop all tracking or reset provider-side records.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. In the preceding 12 months, we may have disclosed identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity, device information and commercial information to Shopify and Google for analytics, campaign measurement, personalization and targeted advertising. Depending on applicable law, these disclosures may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising. You may opt out through our "Your Privacy Choices" page or, where required by applicable law, through a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We may still send necessary order, account and safety messages. If we introduce marketing text messages, the enrolment process will provide separate terms, consent and opt-out instructions before you subscribe.
5 International processing
Our business and providers may process personal information outside your country.
Foreign authorities may be able to access information under the laws of those countries. We remain responsible for the protections required of us and use appropriate contractual, organizational and technical safeguards. Where a particular legal transfer mechanism is required, it must be in place before the transfer.
Using the website does not waive your privacy rights or constitute blanket consent to international transfers. Contact bumpoutdoor@gmail.com with questions about the providers or safeguards relevant to your information.
6 Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfilment, returns, customer support, legal recordkeeping and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of record, statutory requirements and any legal hold. We then delete or de-identify information, subject to lawful and limited backup retention.
We retain order, payment, tax and accounting records for the periods required by applicable law. Account information is retained while the account remains active and thereafter as needed to complete transactions, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Customer support and review records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service and maintain appropriate business records. Security logs, shipment tracking data and analytics information are retained according to our configured security, fulfilment, tracking and analytics settings. Marketing and consent records are retained while you are subscribed and thereafter as necessary to document consent, unsubscribe requests and compliance with applicable law.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and risks, including restricting access to those who need it. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. We assess suspected breaches and make notifications when required by applicable law.
7 Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies to our business, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, withdraw consent, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and to appeal a denied request where the applicable law provides for an appeal. Some rights have exceptions, including lawful recordkeeping and fraud prevention.
To exercise your privacy rights, contact us at bumpoutdoor@gmail.com. Describe your request and the email address associated with your interaction with us. Where available, you may also use our "Your Privacy Choices" page to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We request only verification reasonably necessary for the request; an opt-out will not be subject to identity verification where the law prohibits that requirement. Authorized agents may act for you where permitted, subject to appropriate evidence of authority. If we deny your request and applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us at the same email address.
We respond within the time required by the applicable law and explain any permitted extension or denial. Where an appeal is available, reply to the decision asking for an appeal or contact the privacy contact above. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You may also complain to the privacy regulator competent for your location.
For Canadian residents, applicable federal or provincial law may give you rights of access, correction, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to the relevant privacy commissioner. For residents of US states with applicable privacy laws, the rights listed above apply to the extent those laws cover our activities; they are not a statement that every state law applies to every business.
8 Children
Our online store is intended for adults making purchases and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, contact bumpoutdoor@gmail.com so we can investigate and take the action required by law. Where local law provides a higher age threshold or additional protections for minors, those rules apply.
9 Changes and contact
We update the date above when this policy changes. For material changes, we provide additional notice and seek consent when required. Changes do not authorize uses that require fresh consent without obtaining it.
